Wellbeing, Mindfulness and Compassion with William Bloom - Monday 14 November 2011 - 7.00 PM to 8.30 PM

Today's world makes ever-increasing demands on us, but in modern spirituality we can find heartening new solutions that give us the energy, motivation and inspiration to develop ourselves and transform our world. Wellbeing, Mindfulness and Compassion are core practises of most spiritual traditions. These enable us to go deeper into spiritual practice and helps us understand how to best connect with the energy and wonder of life; and then to repeat it regularly. There are also core skills that help everyone to amplify and embed the experience, including body awareness and internal martial arts.

All spiritual traditions also teach the need for reflection and self-management as we steer the paradoxes, suffering and stimulation of daily life. This requires wise insight about the psychological dynamics and challenges of spiritual awakening, as we develop our potential to be both more benevolent and more awake.

And of course, all of the above is sabotaged unless we are clear about our highest values and harness them to our daily life and attitudes. We are part of an interdependent web and spirituality is fruitless unless it serves the community of life. This begins with the quality of our presence.

This evening William Bloom, Co-founder of Alternatives, shares his wise and revolutionary approach to spiritual fulfilment. His comprehensive and practical guidance will help you achieve a greater sense of personal integrity, purpose and calm, whatever your beliefs or background. Discover for yourself enduring spiritual wellbeing. Tonight’s inspiring presentation will show you how spirituality can benefit you and everyone around you.
